The Greatest Guitar Artists

Here's a list of the Greatest guitar acts ever, as compiled by Rolling Stone magazine in its latest issue:

Jimi Hendrix
Music experts and top guitar players remained unanimous over who should top such a list - the legend, Jimi Hendrix!
Grammy winner Tom Morello explained the choice for his sheer art of manipulating the guitar, the whammy bar, the studio and the stage. He said Hendrix exploded our idea of what rock music could be.

Eric Clapton
No list on rock music can be ever complete without the only three-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee!
Clapton, whose strumming bore the influence of Marley's reggae and the blues, is revered for the simplicity of his style. In fact, guitarist Eddie Van Halen cites this simplicity, particularly from his early works, as the reason why he himself picked up a guitar.
Known for his numbers 'Layla' and 'Crossroads', Eric Clapton was fundamental in popularising electric guitars.

Jimmy Page
The Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page completes the top three of Greatest guitar legends ever. The English multi-instrumentalist who began as a studio-session guitarist is acknowledged by Rolling Stone as a musician who knows exactly what to play and where.
A driving force of rock sounds of the late '60s and early 70s, Page is revered for his solo in 'Heartbreaker', which also went on to inspire Eddie Van Halen and the one in 'Stairway to Heaven'.

Keith Richards
The best introduction that strummer Keith Richards can have is his riff and chords movement for 'Satisfaction'. The Rolling Stones great provided a unique foil to Mick Jagger's vocals with his alternate tunings.
The English guitar giant's fascination with chords and rhythm made him stick to conventional acoustic guitars instead of electric ones, though he has often played bass guitar and even composed on the piano

Jeff Beck
When it comes to combining technique with sheer personality, no ones comes as right on spot as Jeff Beck, be it in his days with the Yardbirds or his later fusion-based innovative work.
Beck has largely focussed on instrumentals with his guitars, even as he spanned through multiple genres like blues-rock, heavy metal, jazz fusion and electronica.
It's no wonder that he has often been called a guitarist's guitarist

Pulsar 180 Speed Lines

I recently purchased the Pulsar 180 speed lines model,

I had a test drive of the same and felt like i am riding a beast with its amazing pick up and meaner looks. I had done a lot of research, compared about 6 bikes they were:
Apache rtr 180
Pulsar 150
Honda Unicorn
Yamaha Fazer
Yamaha FZ S
Yamaha FZ 16.
I ruled out Yamaha bcz all the engines(FZ S, FZ 16, Fazer) were same only looks were different, the price was high, maintenance was too high, mileage was down, power was low, comfort factor was zero and apart from tyres the body was plastic fibre crap. Very low mileage by any 150-160 bike.

I ruled out Honda Unicorn & Dazzler because:
waiting period, high cost, maintenance high, unavailability of parts, out dated looks with no digital parts. Only good thing in this bike is Honda engine and trust which u can also get in Bajaj & HH.

The next was Apache RTR 180 this bike was the closest model to P180:
Good points: Very high pick up
Engine has incredible power
it runs like mean machine
Flaws:
a very small/compact bike
no style statement
low mileage
Apache 160, 180 & F1 looks the same apart from graphics.
Vibrates like hell, you cant call this a sports bike

Pulsar 150 was the best amongst the 150 segment bikes it also has unbelivable power & pick up in this segment.
Pros: Good pick up, power, performance bike
Style is great
Family bike
Cons: A very common bike u can say popular
Upgrade needed

Pulsar 180 was the chosen one because just when u sit on the bike and push the ignition button the power makes you feel you are on a machine which is ready to go anywhere, on road and off road. The pick up is incredible with a touch of style and stability. the riding posture is very comfortable, even the pillion seat is comfortable for the pillion rider and long drives are made easy.
Pros: Unmatched power & pick up
split seats
comfortable riding position
better mileage by any 180 bike (45-50) which is not even given by 150 cc bikes
meaner looks
the new speed lines model makes this bike unique in colour and stands out in the crowd.
Low on maintenance
Style Split grab rails
Full black parts with chrome engine. Blue Black color is recommended
Tubeless tyres
Low Fuel, Battery indicators
Self cancelling indicators
Wider rear tyres for greater stability
No vibrations at higher speeds

Cons:
Saree guard is not that good for women sitting one sided, u cant take ur mom out but you can very well manage it if you change it.
Looks are common (150- 180) that dosnt matter as when you ride it you can very well understand the difference.

In the end, i would like to say Pulsar 180 is a complete package what you ever wanted (Style, Power, Performance, Average) which is delivered at a minimal amount when you compare it with other bikes.
You must have heard that Next Gen Pulsars are to be launched, dont be under this impression that those would be better than existing Pulsars as after having a spy look at them i feel this choice was better and i can keep this bike as the last and best edition of epic PULSARS.
Some companies say we have the best Sports bikes, i say throw away those and purchase this as the top speed is 120+ with no single vibration
0-100 in jus seconds, pierces through the wind
So guys dont give a second thought for this mean machine go and grab it today!!
With this bike i can truly say i am Distinctly Ahead of other disgusting bikes....

What you didnt know about Michael Jackson

It has been two years since Michael Jackson passed away but his glory has not at all faded from our hearts and minds.
Hailed all over the world as the 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson's fairytale life was always under the public scanner. Everything he did made it to the headlines while he lived, and he kept on making news even after his death. This can definitely be attributed to the impact he had and curiosity he generated on people.
On the eve of his 53rd birth anniversary, we take a look at some interesting facts about Michael Jackson.

1. Jackson was a vegetarian.
2. His iconic 'moonwalk' was inspired by street dancers. He had reportedly spotted them outside a hotel where he was staying.
3. Jackson's Billy Jean was the first video by a black artist to be aired on MTV.

5. He was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. He was first inducted as a member of The Jackson 5 on May 6, 1997 and as a solo artist on March 19, 2001.

6. Jackson's famous pets were a chimp called Bubbles, a ram called Mr. Tibbs, a python called Crusher, a rat called Ben and a llama named Louie. The most famous of them all was Bubbles, who was adopted from a cancer research centre in Texas. Bubbles even sat in during Jackson's recording sessions for the album Bad and also accompanied the singer on his trip to Tokyo.
7. As a child, his favorite comics were 'Rip Van Winkle' and 'The Old Man and the Sea'. His favorite cartoon character was Pinocchio and his favorite superhero– Morph from the 'X-Men'.
8. Jackson allegedly used to sleep in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber in order to enhance his beauty and slow down the aging process.

10. MC Hammer once challenged Jackson to a dance off. Michael retorted back saying, "I've seen your videos and every single dance move you use, you got off me."
11. Jackson's performance during the half-time of the 1993 Super Bowl attracted the largest TV audience in American history.

Amy finally sent to "REHAB"

We all have our addictions. Who can get through the day without the crafty fag, the four o'clock chocolate, or the wee dram after dinner? But not all of us have to wear our addictions publicly, the way that Amy Winehouse and other performers have to. The tragic lass was, however, braver than most in confronting her weaknesses head-on in her art, most notably in her signature song "Rehab", the anthem which went on to win the Grammy for Song of the Year.

"Rehab" was not the first song to confront addiction, but it was certainly unusual in refusing to regard addiction in a completely negative light. Drugs have long provided popular music with one of its more ambivalent subjects, with the image of the jolly "reeferman" a recurring figure in jazz lore, and Ella Fitzgerald's jocular "Wacky Dust" testifying to the properties of cocaine. But alongside this amused indulgence has always lurked an acknowledgement of the darker, less glamorous side of drug abuse, often dangerously intertwined with half-baked notions of creation. Even as Charlie Parker sank deeper and deeper into heroin addiction, countless lesser talents eagerly started on their own drug habits, deluded into believing that opiates might be the key to the seemingly superhuman realms of aesthetic wizardry inhabited by Parker.

Winehouse was clearly no stranger to the tendrils of addiction, using the term as a romantic metaphor for obsession in "Addiction" itself, while some of the most striking songs on her Back to Black album, such as the title track and "You Know I'm No Good", are infused with the underlying sense of wretchedness and self-loathing which often accompanies the condition. Indeed, it could be said that it was in part this desperate self-knowledge that gave her performances such emotional authenticity. But it's for the directness and assertiveness of "Rehab" that Winehouse is liable to be most remembered: just as "Imagine" shot to No 1 the week following John Lennon's murder, so "Rehab" has topped the chart again.
